After warming up the bench last season and pleading to wenger for the 1st choice player in midfield, gilberto's looking to depart for a 2mil deal to Panathinaikos.Wenger will not stand his way.
I hope it's not true...but I really can't blame him for leaving if it's true.A player like him certainly not looking forward to warm up the bench another season.
I salute his professionalism and loyalness to him.
He has done a lot and contributes wholely to Arsenal for the 6 years.

I wanted him to stay but that was his choice. Now i hope Wenger will buy some good replacement for Gilberto. I'm asking myself, why we didn't loaned Diarra to Portsmouth?? I believe this would be better choice

I think Wenger believes Denilson can do at midfield with Fabregas...

Come to think of it..for a mere 2mil, why wenger would agreed to sell him.Gilberto wants to stay at Arsenal so much but wenger's not goin to offer him another year of contract.At 31, gilberto still can contribute and guide young guns like Denilson and Aaron Ramsey in midfield.
Too many young guns and less-experience can bring silverwares to us?Can they hold their nerves when facing big teams in big games?

after Lehmann has transferred, only Toure, Gallas and Gilberto are hugely experienced players...
but now...
two players are left to lead the youths...on the pitch.

This is sad ,i also hope that this is not true...Gilberto is an expirienced player vice capitan,and i think that he is the oldest player at Arsenal ,we need him!

Well, i hope it is just a rumours bucause at miedfielders goes already out Flamini, and now, if gilberto goes out too, it will be complicated to us
