Wenger will not be signing anyone before the Premier League kicks-off on Saturday but he will ‘certainly’ bring in a new face before home game with Twente on August 27.

After the 2-0 win in Holland on Wednesday. Le Boss said: “Will something be done ahead of the second leg? Certainly yes, but before Saturday, no.”

However, in the wake of that welcome win at Twente, Wenger feels his squad is actually larger than people realise.

I don't care about arshavin because we don't need any striker or attacking midfield anymore. a DM is what we need. Yaya toure is out of list because pep guardiola start to like him as DM. Veloso, no news from him. Micheal Johnson is a good player but i don't think Man City will sell him though they are desperate for money. The only player that is available now is Gareth Barry. He still unsettled with AV but i think liverpool is going to get him after they win the CL qualifying round at anfield next week. Would love to see wenger overtake liverpool to sign barry.
