Samir Nasri is on the verge of signing for Arsenal after arriving in London.

Wenger has time and time again insisted that big players will be sought after ahead of big names. Nasri is somewhat a combination of both.

Though he may not be a household name yet, his association with Zidane in itself has sent his market value sky-rocketing. La Provence contends that Arsenal may have to shell out €17 million (which comes to approximately £13.5 million) to capture the player.

Arsenal were prepared to pay £10m initially, and have since improved their offer. Though it has not been accepted, an agreement is said to be close.

Is he worth that much?

in french papers, most of them connected him to new zidane and in UK here the papers put him similar to Hleb..but samir's more direct approach on goals could add more bite upfront..
currently the deal on table is 11.9mil...wenger will get him for sure!!!

I hope he will sign Hatem Ben Arfa as well. (I hope we can get 20 million out of Hleb as today Real Madrid also showed their interest, and use the money to buy Hatem Ben Arfa) if we can sign French talent of the years 2007 (Samir Nasri) and 2008 (Hatem Ben Arfa) it would be a dream come true!

The cherry on the cake would be if Wenger can manage to buy Miguel Veloso for a fee around 20 million and Lillian Thuram on a free transfer.

I'm very happy that Wenger signed Nasri. For his age he is very good player. Yes Mouhsin013 i hope Wenger will buy Veloso and bring Thuram because he have massive experiences.

Hi, I'm a Marseille fan, for Samir we are sad but the last year he wasn't not a genius (injury, seek...).

First, Samir Nasri isn't the new Zidane, news papers said that cause (zidane and nasri) both are from Marseille, ZZ and nasri are 10 miedfielder, ZZ and Nasri are arabian origins..

Yes, Nasri was the greatest hope but Ribery is really better and this year Valbuena was better than nasri.


Nasri: positive:
-He is good with his left and right foot. (note: he is right)
-He has a good protection ball
-He has an excellent vision (eye for the pass).
-he is good in "drible" to eliminate his oppponent.

negative:
-he is not physically strong (maybe you can like Adebayor give some creatine to give 10 kgs of muscle)
-he shoot isn't strong, always it's easy for the goal to stop the shoot of nasri.
-he will slow your speed of your team.
-Now the poor: it's difficult to be sure, because may be it's a long time he 's thinked to leave Marseille, He plays only 20 or 30 minutes by match ( like hollowman) he has a lot of difficulties to play his skills all time of the match.

He's young for you, I hope you make him progress in this negative point because he have great skill.
