In April 07, i wrote an article about why Ronaldino should play for Arsenal.

A local newspaper has reported that Ronaldino is interested in playing for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in a bid to improve himself as a player. He sees The Professor as the man to guide his career to the next stage.

Although Dino (the nickname bestowed on him by his loyal fans) maintains that he is happy and enjoying himself at Barcelona, there remains a lingering flame to join the English Premiership to prove that his tricks are not just for show. Dino wants to be able to rub shoulders with players like Thierry Henry and Gilberto Silva as they are good friends via their Nike commitments and national duties respectively. He also wants to be show that he is able to handle the cold, hard defending of the British style and run rings around John Terry or Rio Ferdinard.

However, there are whispers that things are not so positive for the talented Brazilian playmaker. Rumour has it that the Barcelona camp is divided by jealousy. Dino is not happy with the performance of certain team-mates and vice versa. Being a person who is all about friendship and fun, the pressure is making it an unpleasant place for him to stay.

This is good news for the Gunners as we desperately need a star player to share the weight of expectations with Henry. With Gilberto, Kolo Toure and William Gallas providing support and some of the younger ones (Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott, Cesc Fabregas and Johan Djourou) coming of age, the Gunners might finally be able to challenge for the league title.

well considering that Hleb will cash in for ~12M pounds, it sounds as an interesting purchase. I think that wherever Dinho goes, he will do his best to prove his qualities again. And, boy has he got qualities when he gets the ball in his feet. again, interesting topic.
