As it is now, they already get match bonuses on top of their big fat salary. They could reduce the fixed salary and increase the bonus component.

Well I guess that this is just the way things go in modern football. In line with the fact that there are more money in modern football than ever, the players make higher demands. It is quite logical in fact.
The problem that we need to solve, IMO, is the amount of money in modern football. In the last ten years it has almost exploded.
