Adebayor demands 80,000pounds/week...will arsene let him go? 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 7
Ade has made his move for his demands to stay at arsenal..he wants to be paid equally as other top stars in premier league.Just take a look and compare to Gallas's paycheck at 75,000/week and certainly not good enough at the back!!Ade has proven 30goals under his belt now..i think he's worth it..he's current paycheck at 35,000/week way too low now..But can arsenal keep him satisfy?

Yeah I reckoned this would come...

BUT

Well it is not as much as Flamini demanded. And the funny thing is that Adebayor is a far better player and is much more valuable to Arsenal.

So well I guess we will have to increase his salary.

But once again I must add to the discussion of this topic. That someone (should probaly be UEFA) should take kind of action so that these enourmus salaries could be avoided.

What on earth is going on at arsenal? According to Forbes theyre the 3rd richest club in the world. http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30400-1314666,00.html

So why the pay structure? If you have to pay big bucks then you just have to.

we are not a bank, were a football club - whose success is measured ON THE PITCH!

I fear for the future

well, the board keep saying we'll back on wenger on cash issues but I'm afraid when the deal is on table, they might say to wenger ,"can we get a cheaper with experienced and quality like u always find?'

I think the contract should be performance structured...
In other words, yes, we'll up your base salary, but if the Arsenal get to the quaterfinals or semifinals of the CL, you'll get "x" more. If Arsenal are in for the title in the last month of the season, you'll get more.. If you get 25+goals you'll get more again, etc etc etc.
If it all ends up being the figures he wants, so be it. If not, we're not paying a one season wonder astronimical money.

this is an issue that we have to address somehow.

What if RVP gets 35++ goals this season? Do we have to double his salary?

Footballers are getting far too much money. What they get per WEEK is what some ppl get in their whole year or some other ppl in their whole life!

mrmoore01's idea is quite good, but will it create issues between strikers? Will they not pass the ball anymore? hahahaa........

yep..it does make sense too..the trend starts when milan offered a better contract to flamster the ice-cream..then followed by several rumours of players demanding payrise!!
I wonder did wenger get any payrise after all what his done to arsenal,i mean his work is greater than his players combined..

Big Ade has now come out and said the reports were rubbish.
Silly season in fullswing.
