I know he was pre Premiership, but i was at Highbury in 1988 when Paul Davis laid out a Southampton midfielder called Glen Cockerill.

Our own lad Davis was landed with a nine match ban!!!

Legendary stuff Davo and just to add, how did Paul Davis NOT get in the recent 50 Greatest Gunners List?
I mean he played over 400 times for the Gunners and lesser players like Steve Williams(although i thought he was immense) got in!!!

Wow. Paul Davis. He was a legend....

Well, the recent 50 greatest Gunners list does seem a bit weird... if we were not a bit more careful, maybe Cygan could have been in the top 30.

WHo apart from me saw Davis play?

I remember a goal he scored on a pitch at Highbury that was appaling....he defended a free kick against Charlton, laid it to the left, ran straight down the centre of the field and when the cross came in he sent a diving header in to the Charlton net...

I was a lad standing on the old North Bank and i cried with joy, it was the 88-89 season....and we all know what happened at the end of that season

Cheers Davo

Joey Barton is one heck of a bad boy. When he played against us last weekend, he nearly got into a fight although he came onto the field in the last few mins.

Just out of jail and already getting into trouble on the pitch. Bad boy Bad Boy.....

Barton lashed out a nasty tackle on Nasri the other day when we play newcastle. Although he did not manage to hit Nasri, there was an intention and the fans did not like it at all.

yeah..after he made that tackle, he just gave a sarcastic smile at Nasri. He could be gunned down walking at the dark lonely street of London one day.
