African Cup of Nations 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 16
These are the list of games that will be happening during the African Cup.

Schedule
January 9: Carling Cup Semi-Final first leg - Tottenham (h)
January 12: Premier League - Birmingham (h)
January 19: Premier League - Fulham (a)
January 23: Carling Cup Semi-Final second leg - Tottenham (a)
January 26/27: FA Cup Fourth Round *
January 29: Premier League - Newcastle (h)
February 2: Premier League - Manchester City (a)
February 9: Premier League - Blackburn (h)

* If Arsenal remain in the competition

These will mean that our 3 players could be out for up to 8 games; dependent on how far their country progress.

The latest player been called up is Alex Song. He is uncapped yet for his national team but has forced his way into Cameroon's plans. Cameroon have been crowned African champions four times and will be one of the favourites to lift the cup.

Informatively, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue have both been named in the Ivory Coast's squad. Toure absence will hit us particularly hard as there is no adequate cover for him.

Luckily for us, Adebayor's Togo did not qualify for the competition, so the lanky striker will be available to play through January.

I guess we must start wishing that Ivory coast will be out early in the tournament.

Toure being away is not good for us.

Eboue and Song we can live without for 8 games.

hmm. No news yet on the transfer scene. Looks like Wenger is not signing anyone.

Wenger has declared that there is no need to sign.

So i guess we are looking at Sendereos and Djourou for options as center back. Unless Wenger is thinking of Gilberto

I think Sendereos is the preferred choice by Wenger.
