Now as they are out on the field battling each other on the skills of football. I would like to hear if there are any special feelings involved in this match?

I mean there has always been a fierce rivalry between these two nations through history. And I do know for a fact that a lot Englishmen still do not think too nicely of France...

So it is a special match of two rivaling countries or just another friendly like everyone else.

Well,England continue losing some games.

I dont think there is much fierce rivalry between France and England. More feelings of rivalry or Passion is shown when England plays Scotland or Ireland. Well, there are so many French player in Arsenal so there might be a chance of enmity between Arsenal French players and Manure or Chelski's English player. However, this is small rivalry.

On the match itself, Actually, i hear that England played a good game and lost only on penalty. but not sure as i did not get the chance\time to watch the game.

i think England hates Argentina more than France. because of war and also the past few years of matches between them.

France probably dislike their direct neighbours more than England.

Actually, Singapore vs Malaysia matches are always full of rivalry and competitiveness. Boiling over to anger in some cases.

But, well, the level of football is nowhere near the Premier League though.....

But well I would not have guessed that there exist a fierce rivalry between Malaysia and Indonesia...

But well did not get to watch the game either but the result does not suprise me as I think that France is the better team.

This game will probably be remembered more for the fact that David Beckham got his 100 cap than for it's result..

I saw the goal from penalty. James made a mistake and he hit Anelka. Anelka was rolling in air. He turned around for 360 degrees. And than Ribery scored from penalty.

so Anelka was a good actor?
