I guess this one is for the future.... but Wenger has refused to rule out a move for promising Fulham defender Chris Smalling - but maintains there has as yet been no approach for the England Under-21 international.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson yesterday insisted he would be the first to know were Wenger - linked with Brede Hangeland in the last transfer window - set to step up any interest in the 20-year-old, whom Fulham plucked from non-League Maidstone and is now rated at around £7million.
7 mil is a lot of money. Might as well spent 10 mil on Haageland, who is a proven defender and is ready for the BPL.

Honestly, i am not really interested in all these youngsters anymore. We got to get some experienced internationals in.

i agree to a point, but we still need the youngster coming into the club for the future..... look how long its taken Deni to become a good midfielder
but of course, we do need some hard hitters and goal scorers, i personally think its due to the fact we have never really replaced Patrick Vieira that we havnt had any silverware....
if i was Le Boss with the money available (and there is significantly more than he is letting on...) i would be buying:
Aguero (Forward)
David Silva (Attacking Midfielder)
Danielle De Rossi or Gareth Barry (neither are afraid of giving someone a good whack)
Phillipe Mexes
we need to get back to the days where we were one of the physically strongest teams in the league.... back to the days od Adamas, Keown, Winterburn etc....

We won the league,
at White Hart Lane,
we won the league at white hart lane,
we won the league at the shit hole,
we won the league at White Hart Lane.

What we understand the world to be like is determined by many things: our sensory organs, our ability to move and manipulate objects, the detailed structure of our brain, our culture, and our interactions in our environment, at the very least. (Lakoff and Johnson 1999: 102)

I watched this guy play for England U-21's last night and he fell asleep for the Greeks second goal also seen him outjumped by Agbonlahor a few weeks ago for another goal. Not sure what all the hype is about and don't really think Arsenal have missed out on anything promising.
