Adebayor has labelled reports he is set to leave Arsenal as 'rubbish' and blasted the press for exaggerating everything.

The Togo international has enjoyed a great campaign spearheading the Gunners attack. However, it had been claimed the 24-year-old was ready to follow Mathieu Flamini out of Emirates Stadium unless he was handed a new bumper pay deal.

Adebayor, though, has vehemently denied the reports and pledged his allegiance to Arsene Wenger's men.

'I am very happy here. Reports which suggest I have threatened to quit are rubbish,' he said in a statement this afternoon.

'I love the club and the fans.

Dont you just love it when some of the guys come out and declare their love the club?!?!

Yeah it seems to me as though he has got much more commintent, contrary to some money loving bastards...

So maybe he will be our next star striker, who knows?

he is one of the better players this season. We must keep him and hopefully he can strike up a good partnership with either RVP or Eduardo when they get fit.

Adebayor is someone very genuine..a great aset to the club..he spoke his loyalty to the club..i salute you adebayor and may you be one of the fearsome strikers in the world...one day.
