Eduardo is on the verge of leaving Emirates Stadium for Shakhtar Donetsk in a £6 million deal, according to reports in the British and Croatian press.

Eduardo remains a target for Aston Villa and Besiktas but Shakhtar, backed by billionaire chairman Rinat Akhmetov, are hoping to lure the Brazilian-born Croatia international with Champions League football and wages of around £50,000-a-week.

I guess its the best move for a player who has lost his shine after the broken leg incident... such a waste.. but we wish him all the best if he really goes...

It is a bit of a sad one isn't it?
I was a big admirer of his but he never really recovered from that injury and you felt he always had that little bit of fear.
I hope he does well at Shakhtar, he deserves it and I wish him all the best with a little sadness for what good have been.

Its really a sad ending. He was going to light up the stage but the injury took his career off track.

Well, its all confirmed now and he is leaving for 6 mil.
I really wish him all the best at Shakhtar.
