You can thank Chiellini for this, in fact the whole Italian team. Afterwards I think it was a big mistake to play a friendly game against them, since they were obviously getting back at us for their humiliation at the last European Championship. Chiellini should have gotten a red card for this foul, and later on in the match again for one at Kuyt, and he was not the only one. I counted many more of scandalous fouls, ones that you would never expect in a friendly match.
De Jong and van Bommel both got back at them with fouls they also should have been send of for, I think you'll understand how terrible the ref was. I can only hope that that man won't go to the World Cup. You can see the pictures of the moment of Robin's injury
