I think this 'injured' team (plus either Gallas or Vermaelen to form 11 guys) may be strong enough to beat the some of the first team of certain clubs in the BPL.

but its kind of sad and dangerous to have so many out injured....

Too many injuries...

Good news.

Armand Traore and Carlos Vela (both groin) are close to comebacks but will not be risked for this sat game. On the upside, Denilson (back) and Theo Walcott (knee) are expected to be in training in a matter of weeks.

At least the injury list is shortening..

Lots of injuries to our players, but why are they getting so many, improper training, bad luck, not warming down properly, what do you guys reckon

Carlos Vela

Carlos Vela missed the Carling Cup clash with Liverpool due to a knee injury and did not feature in the North London derby either. According to Arsène Wenger the striker will also miss the Wolves game. "It seems a bit short for Carlos Vela," he told Arsenal TV Online.

Theo Walcott
November 5
Theo has been sidelined by a knee injury and is expected to return to training after the international break. "He will be back in training the week after the international break," said Wenger ahead of the Wolves game.

Denilson
November 5
Denilson is expected to return to training in around two weeks time. The Brazilian midfielder's last appearance in an Arsenal shirt came at Eastlands back on September 12. He was substituted eight minutes after half-time and has not been seen since. Speaking ahead of the game with Wolves, Arsène Wenger revealed Denilson will soon return to training. "Denilson will be back in training during the second week of the international break."

Armand Traore
November 5
Armand Traore has returned to training but is unlikely to be available for the Wolves game. . "It seems a bit short for Armand Traore," said Wenger.


Gael Clichy
November 3
Gael Clichy has suffered a back injury and could be out for a few weeks. "We have lost Gael Clichy with a back injury which was not expected," confirmed Wenger ahead of the Alkmaar match. "It looks like he could be out for a while. We fear a stress fracture but we will know more of that tonight. But if that is the case, he will be out for a few weeks."

Lukasz Fabianski

Lukasz sustained an injury during the 2-1 Carling Cup victory over Liverpool. "We lost Lukasz Fabianski with a thigh injury," Arsène Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on October 29. "He will be out for three to four weeks. Of course it is big disappointment because he has just come back from injury."

Jack Wilshere
November 2
Jack Wilshere has picked up an ankle injury and has missed the last three games. "Jack had a knock on his ankle and will be out unfortunately," said Wenger

Nicklas Bendtner
November 3
Nicklas limped off during the first half of the North London derby on Saturday. "Bendtner is quite seriously injured... we still do not know yet but we suspect four weeks," said Wenger ahead of the Alkmaar game.

Johan Djourou

Johan suffered a knee injury while on international duty in August and faces a lenghty lay-off. “Johan is six to eight months,” Wenger said. “He had big surgery, and it is a big blow for him and the Club. He will have to be patient this season.”
