I think its too little a fine but Wenger says Wolverhampton Wanderers' fine for not fielding a full-strength side against Manchester United is good for "the regularity" of the Premier League

Mick McCarthy made 10 changes for a Premier League trip to Old Trafford in December. It was been suggested the Irishman was saving his side for what might be considered to be a more winnable game at home to Burnley. At the time Wenger said the issue was "a problem for the international credibility of the Premier League."

This week Wolves were fined £25,000 for fielding a weakened team but while the Frenchman was pleased to see a punishment handed out, he believes McCarthy's side may have got off lightly in comparison to a recent fine handed to Arsenal for "failing to control their players" during a match at the Emirates Stadium in December.

"It proves that the Premier League finds that they did something wrong but I said that at the time. It's for the regularity of the competition.

"When you think we have been fined £20,000 for a little reaction against Hull City, they got away with it. They have good lawyers."
