Wenger says Benitez is receiving more stick than he deserves following the Anfield club's poor start to the season.
The Merseyside outfit have lost their previous four games, piling the pressure on Benitez.
Wenger says the criticism the Spaniard has come in for is unfair and believes the intense scrutiny is one of the pressures of managing a big club.
"We are in a job [where if] a big club goes through a difficult period you know that you get more stick than you should," said the Frenchman.
"But we know as well in our job that it is part of it. I feel sorry that he gets that because he doesn’t deserve it, but we basically understand within the job, it's part of the rules"
Frankly, i dont give a damn what happens over there but i am very surprised that Wenger helped to defend Benitez. Any idea why?
