Dear Fan,

I am Peter Morgan from Bournemouth University and I am currently carrying out some research on the effects foreign players have on Premiership football clubs’ success and the success of the English national team. This is necessary to find out as currently the percentage of foreign players in the Premiership amounts to 59% according to soccer-europe.com (2007). I want to see whether this has a detrimental or a beneficial effect on the development of young English talent therefore hampering the success of the English national team.

As a Premiership football fan you have been chosen and with your response and feedback it will provide a perspective on the effect that foreign players have on national team and club success, showing the relationship.
