yeahhh... I'm happy for jacl wilshere.
Jack Wilshere has been named in Arsenal's 1st.team squad for 2008/2009 season.
The talented 16-year-old has played a major role during pre-season, impressing Arsène Wenger at the Club's training camp in Austria and featuring in both of Arsenal's games at the Emirates Cup.

Wilshere started against Juventus on Saturday and went close with a volley in the first half. He came off the bench against Real Madrid on Sunday and caused problems for one of Europe's most experienced right backs, the Spaniard Michel Salgado.

Wilshere wore the No 55 shirt against La Liga's champions but will take the No 19 shirt in the forthcoming campaign. That number was vacated by Gilberto when the Brazilian left for Panathinaikos last month.

Wilshere joined Arsenal as a nine year-old in October 2001. Last season he scored 13 times in 19 Under-18 league outings and also netted twice from two reserve team starts, all while still a schoolboy

I like Wilshere,young player who want's to show everything he's got,i think he will do good things,...but is he the pleyer we waited?...don't think so..where are the expirienced ones?

If you watched the game between Arsenal & Real madrid, then you'll know the difference of young Jack Wilshere & Experienced Michel salgado(Real madrid)..Jack wilshere drible past him with easy quick move and Jack wilshere go in tackling one on one against Michel Salgado( a player twice his size).Both clashed with a bang and went down.Jack stand up and run again like nothing happened where all of us thought he would have knocked down cold.
So, I can say he's that good even he's so young.

One day, he will be the Legend of the club. I hope he will not leave us when he becomes famous.

since he is only 16, that means he cannot sign a long term contract with us. Is this correct? can someone advise?

He is seen as a first year scholar at Arsenal and cannot be offered full terms under Wenger's ruling till he has completed his schloarship.
In theory he can be snapped up for dirt cheap by anyone before his 23rd birthday, BUT YOU AS WELL AS I WILL SEE Wenger sort it out on the sly
